We’ve all heard those plaintive words from a sleepy little one, clutching a well-worn book that’s been read so many times every word is familiar. Yet countless children throughout the Abilene area are unable to plead for a story at bedtime. In their world, books are a luxury, and scarce household funds go for necessities, not luxuries.
You can put books in their hands this holiday season. Thanks to a partnership with the NCCIL, we will thank you for your pledge with the gift of children’s books that will go directly to Toys for Tots to be distributed to area families in need this holiday season.
