The northeast corner of Abilene Christian University's property will soon become a shopping and residential center known as The Village at Allen Ridge. KACU currently broadcasts from a tower on this site but will be relocating to a tower south of Abilene. This move is part of KACU's transition from 89.7 to 89.5 FM and expansion of its broadcast area.
ACU announced in a press release Friday that its wholly owned endowment management subsidiary, ACIMCO, has partnered with BVTD Partners LLC of Dallas to complete the final feasibility assessment for a mixed-use lifestyle center.
Located at the intersections of Ambler Avenue, Interstate 20 and Judge Ely Boulevard, the 95-acre masterplanned, mixed-use development would provide a residential village with a 50-acre park with trails and a small lake.
